Welcome to Bow Valley Physio

Physiotherapy in Canmore at Bow Valley Physiotherapy provides expert physiotherapy in a private setting with one on one sessions, one hour assessments, and 45 minute follow-up treatments.

Physiotherapy is a health care profession directed at evaluating, restoring, maximizing and maintaining physical mobility. Physiotherapists are mobility experts who assist people in reaching the highest level of physical function and quality of life. Bow Valley Physio offers a patient-oriented approach to treatment and care of injuries or persistent pain conditions.

Our main aim is to find the root cause of your problem. The goal is for you to move your body with greater confidence and with reduced pain. We will show you long term solutions on how you can help yourself, with exercise and knowledge to prevent recurrence and the need for ongoing treatment.

Why have early physiotherapy treatment?  We strongly believe early physiotherapy leads to:

  • Early resolution of symptoms like pain and joint restriction
  • Quicker return to normal activities at home, work or sport
  • Less treatment needed
  • Decreased number and duration of recurrent episodes of the injury

Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues using a combination of techniques for the purpose of decreasing pain, muscle tension, fascial restrictions, trigger points and stress. The end result is improved range of motion, reduced injury recovery time, and the potential for a quicker return to pain-free activity.
